Down Syndrome guy hardly even touched the kid, his kick was so weak that the kid just looked confused.

No need for the black guy to fully chimp out on him. Kid didn't even look as if he knew what the f*ck was going on, you can be sure he'll grow up to be just like his dad and solve every single issue with violence though.

How can you judge the dad based on a 58 second video?
"solve every single issue with violence"
This wasn't just a little argument or something, all the father saw was a fully gown man suddenly turn and kick his child for no apparent reason, in what looked like the balls.

That is assault on a minor and warrants the response the dad gave.

If he had just stolen a chip or something and the dad knocked him out, then you may have been able to make a point about how he always uses violence

Supposed to know? I'm pretty sure you can tell someone has down syndrome pretty fast.

downs or not, anything kicking my son in the balls like that is immediately going to give me a natural reaction to snap and destroy whatever just did that, regardless of what it is

Completely on the side of the dad. Downs or not that kid was not taught how to control his emotions so little that he kicked a toddler. Sidenote: I'm going to take a wild guess and say the state this happened in is Florida

I think you have more in common with your four cousins than you think...

I teach students with special needs. All of them DO NOT appear to have handicaps. Also MOST of them can control their behavior and they KNOW right from wrong. That kid KNEW not to kick a smaller child but he did it anyway. HE didn't LOOK like he had a handicap so therefore the father defended his son. I bet your autistic cousins know that they aren't supposed to kick people. Down syndrome or not... that kid knew he wasnt supposed to do that and I know he probably will never do it again.

I'm sorry but no you DO NOT hit a person with a handicap. I have personally been around handicapped people myself. I happen to hwve four Autistic cousins. And punching one of them is stright out inappropriate. It would be like a child kicking another child would you punch the other child No. Alert the handler and explain to the chilf whats going on. Because god know if someone would have hit my cousin for kicking there child may the goddess have mercy on them because i will not!

A lot of people are saying this guy knew he had Down's syndrome and you don't hit a person with a handicap. I think he saw a guy kick his kid and he reacted. To all the people who know handicapped people if someone attacked them would you stop and think "huh what's his life story I'll sit and have a cup of coffee with him" no you'd stand up for them this guy probably didn't stop long enough to look at him and consider height be handicapped he reacted.

The kid shouldn't of said what? Yay for hamburgers without being assaulted? In no situation is it right to kick a 3 year old, down syndrome or not. People with down syndrome know right from wrong.

I can tell you from now if that was you in that situation, you would have reacted the same way or you don't have any children. If you know you have a mentally challenged relative who could act out in an aggressive manner, you need to have a better handle on them instead of not paying attention to them. If that were me in that situation and one of your cousins, I would have done the same to them and you.
